Progress Reports and Conferences

On Tuesday, November 6th, Progress Reports will go home with every student, JK – Grade 8.

On Thursday, November 8th, conferences will take place from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Please return the interview request form by Thursday of this week so our team can collaborate on the schedule and return your family’s interview time(s) to you in the Progress Report envelope.

Spooktacular Dance-a-thon 6 more sleeps…

-all pledges submitted by Monday, October 29th will qualify for an extra prize ballot

-Fundraising & school spending priorities:

  1. “Scientists in the Classroom” half-day workshops for every class, Kindergarten through Grade 8 – approx. $200 per session
  2. Purchase of musical instruments  – digital piano (cost being explored) and ukuleles (class set – $1300)
  3. Promotion of the “ARTS ” with links to skills embodied in the Umbrella Project – check out the links!

    3. Frisbee Rob – the importance of physical literacy/learning from failure/getting unplugged – http://www.unpluggd.ca/ – he does a school-wide presentation followed by workshops for up to 10 groups of students the remainder of the day – cost is $750 for the day

October 26th – P.D. day

October 31st – Spooktacular Dance-a-thon fundraiser

November 1st – bus evacuation practice – afternoon – led by Sharp bus lines

November 5th – photo re-takes including class photos; School Council @ 6:30 p.m.

November 8th – parent-student-teacher conferences
