“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” – Maya Angelou

Welcome to a new week and the final week of October and we are excited to end the week with our Fall Fundraiser Festival and Dance. The Holy Rosary Catholic School Advisory Council and Student Council have been working hard to make this another successful event! With our harvest theme, students are encouraged to wear plaid and harvest colours on Friday for the festivities!

Thank you for asking family & friends to support our school fundraiser. Please continue to support this cause as this is our main fundraiser for our school this year and all the funds go back to the students.

All pledges/donations are made through school cash online until November 3rd.  https://wcdsb.schoolcashonline.com/ We will do a check in tomorrow on pledges to see if we have met any of our incentive targets! Stay tuned!

PA Day

A kind reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 24th for students as staff will be involved in professional activities.

Costumes

On Monday, October 31st, students will have an opportunity to wear Halloween costumes to school for the day. Just a reminder that these costumes are to be non-violent, include minimal make-up, and be manageable for the student. Finally, please also be mindful not to intentionally OR unintentionally cultural appropriate or make fun of other cultures. Thank you for helping to ensure that your child’s costume/clothing is appropriate for school.

Accessing D2L from home:

After some parent inquiries,  we wanted to send out a reminder about logging on to D2L:

  1. Students must gain access to D2L through the “My Apps, not through a Google search.
  2. If a student requires a computer login password reset, it needs to be done through you, the computer site-based admin. You will find the password icon when you login to a school computer.
  3.  If parents have login questions, please ensure they know students need to be accessing the My Apps page.
